This July has seen another wave of terrorist attacks, as the London bombings threatened the safety of many commuters. As a result, the world has experienced a renewal of the fight against terrorism along with the birth of the citizen reporter. With the heightened use of personal technology, individuals involved were able to capture the day’s events in the newly coined "democratization of the news process". By sharing their stories, people affected by disaster are able to spread messages of warning, but also of hope, a force through which it is possible to overcome even the greatest adversity.
